The Acre Justice Department ordered Construtora Cidade to provide assistance to families affected by the collapse of the Frei Paolino Baldassari Bridge in Sena Madureira.
The court decision, issued on Saturday (6), requires the company to submit within five days a plan to assist affected families, including possible removal and temporary housing offers. The builder must also send a technical team to the site within 72 hours for inspection and a technical report. The bridge collapsed on Friday night (5), one day after interdiction, injuring four people, two in serious condition. The Acre government filed suits to ensure medical assistance, emergency measures and preservation of resources for damage repair. The structure, inaugurated in December 2023 at a cost of R$ 36 million, links city districts over the Iaco River. The state government maintains administrative investigations to determine causes and responsibilities.
