A 27-year-old Miami woman has been arrested on charges of aggravated child abuse and child neglect after allegedly beating her daughter and restricting her access to food. Naseline Timouche faces allegations that she hit the girl with a charging cord and other objects while leaving her alone for long periods.
Deputies with the Miami-Dade Sheriff's Office responded to the case on Saturday after a witness took in the 8-year-old girl, who had been seen walking alone the previous night. The child reportedly had multiple scars and marks on her body and described being beaten for no reason, including in the middle of the night. According to the probable cause affidavit, the girl said she was not permitted to eat the food at home because it was reserved for guests. She claimed she was instead forced to consume expired items or food from the trash. She also said she had been left alone overnight on multiple occasions. Timouche admitted to hitting her daughter with a charging cord after being read her rights. She also acknowledged returning home at 5 a.m. on Saturday without contacting authorities when she found the child missing. She is being held without bond at the Miami-Dade Jail.
