Aditya Roy Kapur is set to star in an untitled slasher comedy produced by Dharma Productions, marking director Collin D’Cunha’s feature film debut. The project blends horror, satire, and dark humour, with shooting scheduled to begin in May 2026. Pre-production is currently underway.
Aditya Roy Kapur, recently seen in Anurag Basu's romantic anthology Metro...In Dino released in July 2025, where he portrayed Parth, a travel content creator, has been roped in to headline a new film from Dharma Productions. According to reports from Variety India, the untitled project is a slasher comedy infused with horror, satire, and dark humour. The story remains under wraps, but it is described as embracing the rules of the slasher genre while cleverly subverting them, offering a self-aware horror experience with witty dialogue, intentionally campy performances, and exaggerated gore.
Collin D’Cunha, who previously directed the Dharmatic Entertainment series Call Me Bae starring Ananya Panday and Do You Wanna Partner? featuring Tamannaah Bhatia and Dia Mirza for Amazon Prime Video, will make his feature film directorial debut with this movie. Pre-production is already in progress, and filming is slated to start in May 2026.
On the work front, Aditya Roy Kapur is also involved in Raj & DK's ambitious series Rakt Bramhand. The creators shared in an interview with India Today: "We finished most of our indoor talkie schedule, and we are now prepping for the next big schedule that is mostly outdoors and action. The plan is to wait for the rains to clear for a suitable filming window. We also need lush greens for this period set up. So yeah, we are prepping for the next big action schedule." The series centres on a rivalry between two princes vying for the throne under the presence of the red-eyed goddess Raktakshi Devi.
This slasher comedy adds to Dharma Productions' diverse slate, continuing their exploration of genre blends in Bollywood.
