Manuel Adorni stepped down as chief of staff after details emerged from a judicial case involving alleged illicit enrichment. Diego Santilli replaces him in the role.
A Casa Rosada official declared that she lent her credit card to Adorni to buy a gamer monitor for more than 2.1 million pesos. Laura Schiuma confirmed that the former official reimbursed her in cash.
The investigation by prosecutor Gerardo Pollicita also includes other purchases with collaborators' cards and messages between Adorni and contractor Matías Tabar. Tabar stated that the works on Adorni's home cost 245,929 dollars in cash.
Javier Milei said the change is the best for decent Argentines. Santilli took office as the fourth chief of staff of the administration and will meet with La Libertad Avanza legislators at the Casa Rosada.
