AJ Styles discussed his experiences working under Vince McMahon and shared views on current WWE talent during a recent podcast appearance. The comments were made on The Phenomenally Retro Podcast.
AJ Styles said he appreciated the direct access to Vince McMahon for quick decisions during his early WWE years. He noted that wrestlers seemed more timid under McMahon compared to the current environment where they can voice opinions freely.
Styles added that he enjoyed his time in WWE and credited McMahon with giving him opportunities, including two World Heavyweight Championship reigns. He described McMahon as his boss rather than a personal friend.
On wins and losses, Styles stated they hold little importance in wrestling as it is pure entertainment. He also praised Dominik Mysterio’s character development and expressed excitement about Chad Gable’s rising profile.
