Amble has introduced the Amble One, a street-legal electric buggy aimed at luxury resorts and short-range mobility. The vehicle carries a starting price of $25,000 and draws design cues from the NASA lunar rover.
The company, based in Lisbon, Portugal, emerged from stealth on June 27 with specifications that include a range exceeding 60 miles, a top speed of 40 mph, and a curb weight under 450 kilograms. This weight target allows the Amble One to qualify as an L7e vehicle in Europe, permitting public road use without full car regulations.
Founders include CEO Adrien Roose, who previously cofounded the Cowboy ebike brand, and design lead Julian Hoenig, who contributed to Audi models and Apple’s canceled car project. Chairman José António Uva brings experience restoring luxury estates in Portugal. The open, doorless design uses aluminum, leather, and cork, with visible skateboard-style platform elements.
Twelve clients have signed orders, committing to more than 500 vehicles and 10 million euros in revenue. Hospitality deliveries are scheduled to begin in mid-2027, while consumer deliveries in Europe and the United States are set for 2028. A second model, the Amble Two, is planned for release in 2029.
