Sports Illustrated's Matt Verderame has given the Pittsburgh Steelers an A grade for their busy offseason, highlighting major roster additions and the hiring of Mike McCarthy as head coach. He notes that the team now has one of the NFL's most complete rosters on paper.
The Steelers made significant changes this offseason under general manager Omar Khan, including hiring McCarthy to replace Mike Tomlin after 19 years and selecting 10 players in the 2026 NFL Draft. They also traded for wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. and signed players such as Jamel Dean, Jaquan Brisker, Sebastian Joseph-Day and Rico Dowdle to bolster the secondary, defensive line and running back position. The moves earned the team the highest grade among AFC North clubs, ahead of the Bengals at B, Browns at C+ and Ravens at D+.
