Former world number one Andy Murray has begun working with British player Jack Draper. Murray took the role after turning down other offers to stay closer to his family.
Murray ended his brief partnership with Novak Djokovic in May 2025. He had joined Djokovic's team in November 2024 but the arrangement produced no titles.
Murray told the BBC he received several coaching offers after the split. He said he had no desire to travel constantly and preferred time at home with his family.
Draper approached Murray before the current grass-court swing. Murray replaced Jamie Delgado on the team in May and said he believes in Draper's talent and ability to return to top-level success.
Draper, currently ranked 114 after injuries to his left arm and right knee, is scheduled to face Brandon Nakashima in the first round of the Eastbourne Open on Monday.
