Bahrain executive praises Chinese super apps at Summer Davos Forum

Luay Ahmadi of GFH Financial Group highlighted the benefits of Chinese super apps during the ongoing 2026 Summer Davos Forum in Dalian.

Luay Ahmadi, global head of institutions and managing director of the GFH Financial Group, spoke in an interview with China News Network at the 2026 Summer Davos Forum.

He praised Chinese super apps for their efficient role in daily life and financial payments. Ahmadi expressed hope that Middle Eastern countries could develop similar products.

Such integrated financial apps could help Gulf nations achieve greater economic autonomy and build resilience against external crises, he said.

The forum, officially the World Economic Forum's Annual Meeting of the New Champions, is taking place in Dalian, Liaoning Province.
