Bhabna and Dighi team up with Irfan Sajjad for web film

Ashna Habib Bhabna and Prarthana Fardin Dighi are starring alongside Irfan Sajjad in a new web film directed by Sumon Dhar. The project, a dark thriller, is set for release during Eid al-Fitr. Shooting began in late December and continues at locations including Savar's Golapgram.

The untitled web film brings together two prominent Bangladeshi actresses and a seasoned actor under the direction of Sumon Dhar. Production started in the last week of December, with filming progressing at various sites, such as Golapgram in Savar. Dhar has crafted the story as a dark thriller, tailored specifically for an Eid al-Fitr audience.

Irfan Sajjad, playing the male lead, expressed enthusiasm for the genre. "I enjoy watching this genre, and I never turn down acting offers in such stories," he said. He described his role as multifaceted, offering ample performance opportunities, and noted the enjoyable shooting experience so far. Sajjad has worked with Bhabna before but this is his first collaboration with Dighi. "Bhabna is a very dedicated performer and extremely supportive as a co-actor," he added. "Working with Dighi for the first time has also been a great experience. I'm enjoying the project thoroughly."

Prarthana Fardin Dighi, fresh from wrapping most of her work on "Biday" directed by Mehedi Hassan Ridoy, is balancing schedules while shooting this film. She has prior experience with Dhar on "Shesh Chithi" and "Fera." "Sumon's stories are always different, and this one is no exception," Dighi remarked. "There's also a level of comfort working with him." Regarding her co-star, she praised Bhabna: "Bhabna apa is someone I admire and am very close to. I had actually decided not to do films with two heroines this year due to past experiences. But when I heard Bhabna apa was the other lead, I didn't hesitate for a moment. She has been incredibly supportive on set, which is rare." Dighi also commended Sajjad's immersion in his character and the lively set atmosphere.

Ashna Habib Bhabna, who recently finished "Payel" under Raihan Khan and has "Japito Jibon" by Habibul Islam pending release, called her role in this film a fresh challenge. "This is a character I haven't played before. The story is excellent, and details about the character will be revealed soon through posters. I'm truly enjoying the work."

Director Sumon Dhar selected the cast to fit the narrative. "These are artistes I wanted to work with," he stated. "I hope to complete the project properly and bring it to audiences as planned."
