Big Bill gives notice to AEW ahead of WWE return

Big Bill has given his notice to AEW as his contract expires in the coming week. The wrestler is expected to rejoin WWE alongside former tag team partner Enzo Amore.

Fightful Select reported on June 30 that Big Bill's four-year AEW contract will end shortly and that he has already notified the promotion of his departure. The move marks the end of his time as a former AEW World Tag Team Champion.

Bill previously worked in WWE from 2011 to 2018 under the names Colin Cassidy and Big Cass. WWE officials have confirmed plans to sign both Bill and Amore together once Bill becomes available.

Amore has remained a free agent in recent months. Sources within WWE indicated the company chose to wait so the pair could be contracted at the same time and potentially reunited as a tag team.

It remains unclear whether the wrestlers will debut on the main roster or in NXT.
