Chef Glenn Harris lists Nolita home for $3 million

Chef Glenn Harris, co-founder of the American brasserie The Smith, has put his Manhattan apartment on the market for $3 million. The one-bedroom unit at 7 Bond Street in Nolita features a custom chef's kitchen designed by Harris himself. He plans to spend more time out east after years in downtown Manhattan.

Glenn Harris, known for co-founding The Smith, a popular American brasserie, is selling his residence in the Nolita neighborhood of Manhattan. The fourth-floor apartment at 7 Bond Street measures 1,200 square feet and is listed at $3 million through broker Patricia Vance of Douglas Elliman.

Harris bought the property for $2 million in 2020 and undertook a complete renovation. The space includes high ceilings, four oversized north-facing windows, and original details such as exposed wooden beams, iron columns, and brick walls. It opens into a spacious living and dining area connected to the chef's kitchen, equipped with induction cooking and custom cabinets. Additional features comprise imported Austrian oak floors, a smart-wired Lutron lighting system, built-in speakers, a main bedroom suite with ample storage, and an ensuite bathroom described as spa-like.

In a statement to Gimme Shelter, Harris said, “I’ve spent years living in downtown Manhattan, and I loved the energy. I’m now excited to spend some more time out east.” An avid fisherman, he has a history of real estate investments. In 2022, he sold a renovated turn-of-the-century home in Williamsburg at 326 Leonard Street for $4.79 million, having purchased it for $1.87 million in 2019. Earlier that year, he sold a historic five-bedroom townhouse in Greenpoint at 126 Noble Street—built in 1867—for $4.94 million, setting a record at the time.

This sale marks another chapter in Harris's pattern of buying, renovating, and selling properties in New York City.
