Cole Sillinger signs three-year contract with Blue Jackets

Cole Sillinger has agreed to a new three-year deal with the Columbus Blue Jackets worth 13.875 million dollars. The 23-year-old forward avoided salary arbitration after the sides reached an agreement.

The contract carries an annual cap hit of 4.625 million dollars and runs through the summer of 2029. Sillinger had requested arbitration but the parties settled before any hearing took place.

Sillinger recorded eight goals and 25 assists in 81 games last season. Across 367 NHL games since being selected 12th overall by Columbus in the 2021 draft he has accumulated 140 points.

"Cole is a hard-working and reliable two-way forward who plays the right way. He continues to grow and develop," Columbus general manager Don Waddell said in a statement.
