Cycle of municipal exchanges concludes in Havana

President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez visited the municipal defense councils of Cotorro and Habana del Este on Wednesday afternoon, closing a phase of exchanges with Havana's 15 municipalities.

The president stated that this method of analyzing local problems will continue with new exchanges soon. Shared concerns included electricity distribution, water service, assistance to vulnerable individuals and increasing food production.

Roberto Morales Ojeda, Liván Izquierdo Alonso and Yanet Hernández Pérez took part in the meetings. Díaz-Canel Bermúdez inquired about pensions, food fairs and the Community Youth Network, highlighting interest in the Family Care System and renewable energy sources.

The president described the municipality as the place where battles are won, in the context of 176 economic and social transformations and local autonomy.
