On Friday, Delhi Police marked Rashtriya Ekta Diwas 2025, commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India who played a key role in unifying the nation post-independence. The observance aimed to foster unity, integrity, and national security through a series of community-focused initiatives across all districts of the capital.

Activities included police personnel taking the Ekta Diwas Pledge, a solemn commitment to national unity. Participants also joined Run for Unity events, tree plantation drives, and photo exhibitions that highlighted Patel's life and contributions to India's integration.

Seven major Run for Unity events were held across Delhi's territorial and transport ranges. These gatherings were graced by notable figures, including cricketers Yuzvendra Chahal and Madan Lal, actor Manoj Joshi, and Olympians Aman Sehrawat and Ravi Kumar Dahiya. Their presence underscored the event's emphasis on collective participation in promoting national cohesion.

The initiatives reflect ongoing efforts by Delhi Police to engage the public in civic activities that reinforce India's foundational values. Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, celebrated annually on October 31, continues to honor Patel's legacy amid contemporary calls for solidarity.
