Warner Bros has released character posters for Dune: Part Three ahead of its teaser trailer debut on March 17, 2026. The posters feature stars including Timothée Chalamet and new cast member Isaach de Bankolé as Farok. The film, directed by Denis Villeneuve, arrives in theaters on December 18, 2026.
Deadline reported on March 16, 2026, that it had viewed the new trailer for Dune: Part Three and participated in a Q&A with director Denis Villeneuve. The teaser trailer is scheduled for release the following day, March 17, with further details on the film to follow. Timothée Chalamet shared his character poster on social media on Monday, prompting Warner Bros to release several others, including nine posters in total. These feature Isaach de Bankolé as Farok, marking his addition to the cast, as confirmed by Variety and Rotten Tomatoes posts on the same day. Other posters include Robert Pattinson and Anya Taylor-Joy, who joins as Alia, Paul Atreides' younger sister. Insiders previously told Deadline that Pattinson will play the villain Scytale. Pattinson commented on his experience filming, saying, “When I was doing Dune it was so hot in the desert that I just couldn’t question anything,” and added, “it was so relaxing, like my brain actually wasn’t operating. I did not have a single functioning brain cell. And I was just listening to Denis: ‘Whatever you want!'” Villeneuve shot the film last summer using IMAX cameras in part. Adapted from Frank Herbert's 1969 novel Dune Messiah, the movie follows the previous installments: Dune: Part One (2021) and Dune: Part Two (previous year), which together grossed $1.12 billion worldwide and earned eight Oscars from 15 nominations. The Dune universe also includes the prequel series Dune: Prophecy, which premiered on HBO and HBO Max in November to critical acclaim.
