Egypt’s real estate sector is entering a new era of large-scale digital integration, with the government preparing to offer more than 400,000 housing units through a unified digital system operated by The Official Egyptian Real Estate Platform. The initiative represents one of the region’s most ambitious coordinated digital real estate efforts, underscoring Egypt’s shift toward a transparent, data-driven and regulated property market.
The Official Egyptian Real Estate Platform is set to oversee more than 400,000 new housing units as part of a digital transformation enhancing transparency in the property market. Ahmed Elbatrawy, Founder and Chairperson of the platform, described the shift as “not merely a technological upgrade but the rise of a new Egyptian institution reshaping the future of the real estate and technology sectors.”
The platform has evolved into a comprehensive national hub for official property data, providing accurate, reliable information for citizens and investors and laying the foundation for a transparent and structured market. During the government’s recent offering of 25,000 residential units, the system managed massive volumes of data and delivered a booking experience that, Elbatrawy said, “matched — and in some aspects surpassed — leading global platforms.” “Processes that once took days are now completed in minutes,” he added. “Every unit is verified, every document is official, and transparency is now the standard. This transformation has been built entirely by Egyptian talent.”
The next expansion phase includes deploying a new generation of smart services with real-time integration across government ministries and authorities. Upcoming features include automated property data recognition tools and digital linkages with mortgage finance systems — all designed to simplify access to the market for citizens and investors alike. “We are building an Egyptian institution that redefines how citizens interact with the property market and places Egypt firmly on the global map as a country with a structured, transparent real estate system,” Elbatrawy added.
E-SYSTEMATIC Egypt, the platform’s technology partner, played a key role in building the digital infrastructure, integrating data systems and supporting government entities and developers — a major milestone for Egypt’s PropTech capabilities. Close cooperation with the Ministry of Housing has been instrumental in restoring confidence by establishing a unified, state-approved source of property data and a standardized booking process. “Egypt is now building a global-level property system,” Elbatrawy said in closing. “We are forming an Egyptian institution capable of leading the region, creating transparency and shaping a future that reflects the ambitions of the state and its young talent.”
