Everyone Says Hi announce new album Funny Cos It's True

Everyone Says Hi have announced their second album, Funny Cos It's True, along with the single Don't Underestimate Yourself. The indie supergroup will release the record on September 25.

The band, which includes ex-Kaiser Chiefs drummer Nick Hodgson along with Pete Denton from The Kooks, Ben Gordon of The Dead 60s and Glenn Moule from Howling Bells, recorded the 11-track album at Hodgson's home studio.

Hodgson described the lead single as a note to his daughter about staying confident and bold. The track draws on 1970s sounds with lush strings and guitar.

The album explores themes including the death of Hodgson's father in 2011 and pressures of modern life. It was made through collaborative sessions between May and September 2025.

The group has scheduled UK in-store shows starting September 25 in Bury and ending October 1 in Coventry.
