The Foo Fighters have updated their official website with interactive posters that play short previews of unreleased tracks from their upcoming 12th album. Frontman Dave Grohl recently confirmed the album is finished, marking the band's first release since 2023's But Here We Are. The teasers offer fans an initial glimpse into the new material amid recent lineup changes.
On February 13, 2026, the Foo Fighters revamped their website to feature an interactive layout simulating a superfan's bedroom, complete with posters, photos, a guitar, scattered clothes, and stacks of CDs. Clicking on various images plays approximately 10-second snippets of 11 distinct unreleased tracks, providing the first taste of new music since the band's 2023 album, But Here We Are.
Dave Grohl first hinted at the new material a couple of weeks earlier during a performance in Tasmania, stating, “We might have a whole new record of fucking songs that we just finished the other day,” according to Billboard. The band previewed the website update via an Instagram reel captioned “Consider this an evaluation,” which included a charging guitar line, Grohl growling, and women's voices singing “na-na-na.”
Specific snippets include one with Grohl screaming “Do I? Do I? Do I? Do I?” over squelching guitar; a full-band shot featuring staticky guitar and melodic vocals with a doo-doo-doo pattern; and a track with Ilan Rubin on drums, pairing jangly guitar with snare bashing. Two previews contain vocals: one with Grohl repeating a phrase reported variably as “Turn the cameras on” in Rolling Stone and “Turn off the cameras” in Wikimetal, over a crescendo; another with synthesizers and the line “Lately I haven't been listening to the sound,” per NME.
The upcoming album will be the Foo Fighters' 12th and the first recorded with drummer Ilan Rubin, formerly of Nine Inch Nails, who joined two months after Josh Freese's departure. Freese reflected on his brief tenure in Modern Drummer, saying, “I enjoyed being around those guys... One day it was nothing but laughs, we’re on stage and Dave’s looking at me every night like, ‘You’re killing it, dude!!!’ And then it was just — over.” Freese did not contribute to But Here We Are.
