Genshin impact arrives in chile with in-person events for luna iv

HoYoverse, the creator of Genshin Impact, is organizing free events in Santiago and Concepción to celebrate the launch of version Luna IV. The activities include cosplay workshops, gaming sessions, and a themed all-nighter with prizes. These events aim to bring together the local gaming community at Movistar GameClub locations in January 2026.

Genshin Impact, the open-world action RPG developed by HoYoverse, immerses players in the fantastical world of Teyvat, where they play as a mysterious traveler searching for a lost sibling. The release of version Luna IV, subtitled Lunar Song, unlocks exploration of the game's seventh region, featuring new cultures, landscapes, and characters. The free-to-play title supports PlayStation 5, Xbox, PC, Android, and iOS, with cross-platform progress syncing for solo or multiplayer adventures.

To commemorate the launch, HoYoverse has scheduled in-person events from January 12 to 25, 2026, at Movistar GameClub venues in Mallplaza Vespucio and Norte in Santiago, and Mallplaza Trébol in Concepción. Participants can write wishes on Lunar Spirit postcards and place them in a symbolic area drawn from the game's lore. Each location will offer 18 computers for gameplay and earning in-game rewards like Primogems, the title's premium currency.

On January 17, Mallplaza Vespucio hosts a free cosplay workshop led by Chilean cosplayers, providing materials to craft outfits inspired by the new version. The festivities peak on January 24 with a dedicated Madrugaming event, running from 9:00 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. the next day across all three sites. It features free play, trivia quizzes, music challenges, Abyss trials, and mini-games, along with physical prizes, free GameClub passes, and a raffle for official Genshin Impact figures. The events are designed to build connections within Chile's gaming community.
