Google has discontinued production of its Nest Home Mini and Nest Audio smart speakers. The move follows the launch of a new Google Home speaker. Existing units will continue to receive support.
Google confirmed it will end production of the Nest Home Mini and Nest Audio devices. These products have been available for around five years.
A company representative told Engadget that existing units will keep receiving regular software updates, security patches and customer care. The devices in use will remain fully operational.
Google introduced a new Google Home speaker priced at $100. That matches the former price of the Nest Audio but exceeds the $50 price of the Nest Home Mini.
