Google announced new artificial intelligence models in May during Google I/O 2026. The Gemini 3.5 and Gemini Omni tools aim to handle tasks proactively.
The company introduced Gemini 3.5, designed to perform complex tasks and take actions within applications. Gemini Omni integrates text, image, audio, and video to generate content, beginning with video.
Google updated the Gemini app to organize inboxes, schedule appointments, and send personalized daily summaries. It also launched Universal Cart, which gathers purchases from multiple services to pay and track orders in one place.
In addition, it presented the Google Health app and the Fitbit Air sensor, which records heart rate, SpO2, and sleep continuously. These functions do not replace medical evaluations and availability varies by country.
