Haas unveils Godzilla-themed livery for Japanese Grand Prix

Haas Formula 1 has revealed a special Godzilla-themed livery for the VF-26 ahead of the Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka, honouring the iconic monster via a new partnership with Toho. The design builds on the team's recently unveiled 2026 white-black-red scheme featuring title partner Toyota Gazoo Racing, for whom this is a home race.

The livery was unveiled at an event in Tokyo before round three of the 2026 season. It incorporates Godzilla motifs into the VF-26's signature colours, reinforcing Haas's Japanese ties. This follows a technical partnership with Toyota Gazoo Racing established in 2024—now elevated to title sponsorship, as debuted in the team's January livery reveal—and a cherry blossom design used at Suzuka in 2025.

Haas lies fourth in the constructors' standings after Oliver Bearman scored points in Australia and China. Team principal Ayao Komatsu previewed the weekend: “The Japanese Grand Prix is another one of our home races, this season returning with our title partner Toyota Gazoo Racing. So it’s a really big race for us. We’re motivated to carry on the momentum we got from the first two races, and I think the team is working really, really well.”

Suzuka offers a distinct challenge from Shanghai, but Komatsu noted the team's adaptability. The goal is double points with both cars finishing, alongside the livery debut. “This collaboration is a first and is truly exciting, it really shows a part of who we are as a team and our identity, so I hope fans enjoy this fun livery,” he added.

Separately, Racing Bulls announced a red-and-white livery honouring a new Red Bull can release.
