Two helicopters collided in midair on Sunday morning (14) in Recreio dos Bandeirantes, Rio de Janeiro, killing all six people on board, including American singer Oliver Tree.
The aircraft fell into a BYD dealership lot after the collision. The victims were identified as pilots Alexandre Souza and Charles Marsillac, plus passengers Oliver Tree, Lucas Vignale, Gaspar Prim and Lucas Frota. The group was heading to Angra dos Reis.
Producer Victor Wao reported on social media that he backed out of the flight at the last second due to fear of flying. Lucas Frota offered him a car ride, allowing someone else to take his place.
BYD said it is providing support on site through the dealership and remains available to authorities. CENIPA and ANAC are investigating the causes of the collision, including prior fines and possible operational irregularities involving the aircraft.
