Tensions in the marriage of Insanul Fahmi and Wardatina Mawa have escalated after the wife filed for divorce at the Medan Religious Court. Insanul Fahmi claims a figure akin to a 'jin dasim' is influencing his wife's decision, despite Wardatina stating it is her own choice. He accuses an outsider of meddling as an instigator.
Jakarta – Tensions in the marriage between Insanul Fahmi and Wardatina Mawa have intensified amid the divorce petition filed by Wardatina at the Medan Religious Court. The filing stems from the revelation of Insanul's unregistered marriage to Inara Rusli without Wardatina's knowledge as the legal wife.
Insanul Fahmi made a surprising statement on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, via a YouTube show. He acknowledged that Wardatina described the divorce decision as her own, but did not rule out external influences. "Indeed, she (Mawa) said (divorce) it's her own decision, but it doesn't close the possibility of devilish efforts entering through words or mouths of other people who instigate and are not understood by Mawa," he said.
Insanul likened the instigator to a 'jin dasim' or devilish entity that is muddying the situation. He claimed to know the identity of the person, a well-known figure who has given statements through media and social media. Those statements, according to Insanul, could worsen Wardatina's view of their marriage.
As the family head, Insanul stressed that outsiders should not interfere. "This is a meddler, pretending to be long-time acquaintance, acting like they care. In my opinion, as Mawa's husband, I want to tell her husband to teach his wife that it's not good like that," he asserted.
He also called for resolving the conflict wisely based on religious values. "If people understand religion, verify, sit down, see how to maintain the household, consider all perspectives first, not suddenly tell everyone to separate. That's the dasim devil," he said.
The case highlights personal dynamics among public figures, with Insanul hoping for a peaceful resolution.
