Inter Milan came from two goals down to secure a thrilling 4-3 victory at Como, extending their Serie A lead to nine points with six games remaining. Marcus Thuram scored twice early in the second half to level the scores, before Denzel Dumfries netted a quickfire double to turn the game around. The win came as Napoli were held to a 1-1 draw at Parma.
Como, managed by Cesc Fabregas, stunned Inter with a 2-0 lead inside the first half through goals from Alex Valle and Nico Paz. Marcus Thuram pulled one back for the visitors in first-half stoppage time, prodding home to make it 2-1 at the break against the Champions League-chasing hosts. Inter faced a stern test in their Scudetto pursuit but responded emphatically after the interval. Thuram then capitalized on a defensive mix-up to lob goalkeeper Jean Butez and equalize at 2-2. Denzel Dumfries completed the turnaround with a far-post header from Hakan Calhanoglu’s free-kick, before lashing home his second to give Inter some breathing room. Como pulled one back late through Lucas Da Cunha’s penalty, but Inter held on for the three points. The result leaves Inter nine points clear at the Serie A summit, taking advantage of Napoli’s draw where Scott McTominay canceled out Gabriel Strefezza’s opener.
