International Rescue Committee invites bids for latrine construction in Ethiopia

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) has invited sealed bids for constructing communal and household latrines in internally displaced persons (IDP) sites and refugee camps in Ethiopia's Benishangul-Gumuz region. These projects seek to enhance sanitation for disaster-affected populations. Bidders can obtain documents starting November 17, 2025.

The International Rescue Committee (IRC), a non-profit humanitarian agency, provides relief, rehabilitation, protection, resettlement services, and advocacy for refugees, displaced persons, and victims of oppression and violent conflict.

The IRC Ethiopia Program has operated in Ethiopia since 1999, implementing integrated community-managed programs to improve the quality of life and livelihoods of disaster-affected populations through individual participation, institution strengthening, and emergency response. It works in Gambella, Benishangul Gumuz, Tigray, SNNPR, Sidama, Somali, and Oromia regions on refugee assistance and livelihoods.

The IRC now invites sealed bids from eligible, technically competent bidders with valid licenses for the current Ethiopian FY 2018/2025.
