Data from Stream Charts shows the event reached 4,414,895 hours watched with an average of 2.4 million viewers. Co-streaming hit a new high with 4,740 unique channels. YouTube accounted for the largest share of the audience, generating twice the watch time of Twitch. The main PlayStation YouTube channel peaked at 848,700 viewers. The 2026 State of Play showcases overall posted a 25.5 percent increase in viewership compared with the previous year. Viewers responded positively to the focus on single-player games scheduled for release in September and early October.
