Kalix first with art project against ALS

Kalix becomes the first municipality in Sweden to carry out an artistic pilot project against ALS in collaboration with the Börje Salming ALS Foundation.

The Art Against ALS project has resulted in the art exhibition Kalix Sommarsalong. All 21 creators have donated their works and local businesses have contributed together with volunteers.

Artist Roger Sångberg, who founded the initiative, serves as project leader. The aim is to spread knowledge about ALS and raise funds for research.

– It is exciting, says Stig Salming. Karin Karlström, secretary general of the foundation, describes the collaboration as a really nice initiative that reaches a new audience.
