Prefect Salvatore Angieri announced the cancellation of the July shows. The decision followed complaints from the local Jewish community regarding West and referenced his previous bans in other countries, including the United Kingdom over antisemitic comments. Large anticipated crowds were cited as the primary factor by the regional prefecture.
