Kenya and Saudi Arabia have signed a new labour agreement to create more jobs for Kenyans. The deal was signed during Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi's visit to the Gulf nation. It forms part of broader efforts to boost economic ties between the two countries.
The agreement was signed alongside other bilateral deals covering investment promotion and cultural cooperation. It aims to support Kenya's labour migration programme and expand job opportunities for Kenyans in Saudi Arabia.
Mudavadi visited Almarai to explore investment and technology transfer in the dairy sector. The delegation also held talks with Aramco Trading on energy security.
The government said the pacts will boost trade, investment and skills exchange. The visit marked the first Kenya-Saudi Arabia Political Consultations and advanced Kenya's economic diplomacy agenda.
