Kesha announces Freedom Tour across North America

Kesha has announced the Freedom Tour, a North American jaunt starting in May with support from Chromeo. The itinerary includes dates through August and connects with previously announced European shows. In a press release, she described the tour as a celebration of survival and freedom.

Kesha revealed plans for her Freedom Tour on March 23, kicking off on May 23 in Chula Vista, California, at the North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre. The tour features Chromeo as a supporting act on most dates, alongside others like Sizzy Rocket, Meek, Erika Jayne, and Pitbull for select shows. It wraps around earlier announced European performances, including UK dates with Pitbull and festivals in England, Ireland, and Quebec through July and early August before resuming in North America from August 3 in Shakopee, Minnesota, until August 30 in Noblesville, Indiana. Full dates include stops in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Bonnaroo Festival, and more, at venues such as the Kia Forum, MGM Grand Garden Arena, and Ruoff Music Center. In the press release, Kesha stated, “This summer we are reclaiming our bodies, our voices, and our joy. We have survived. Now we get to be free. Let’s be free together. I want to know what freedom feels like, with all of you.” She elaborated, “I’ve lived through the fire. This tour is about what comes after. Freedom isn’t just leaving something behind—it’s discovering that what you have lived through has made you magnificently who you are.” The announcement coincides with news of forthcoming music later this year, following her first independent full-length album released last year, titled simply with a period.
