Kimi Antonelli secured pole position for the Belgian Grand Prix with a lap time of 1m44.361s. He beat Max Verstappen by 0.317s in qualifying at Spa-Francorchamps.
Antonelli claimed his sixth pole of the season for Mercedes. The Italian driver overcame a challenge from Verstappen, who briefly led after using a tow from Isack Hadjar.
Lando Norris posted the third fastest time but will start 13th after a 10-place grid penalty. George Russell moves up to third on the grid alongside Charles Leclerc.
Lewis Hamilton qualified sixth despite an end-of-session crash. Oscar Piastri, Arvid Lindblad and Gabriel Bortoleto complete the top seven on the starting grid for Sunday's race.
