Kimi Antonelli claimed victory at the 2026 Canadian Grand Prix at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. The 19-year-old Mercedes driver extended his championship lead to 43 points over teammate George Russell after five rounds.
Antonelli secured his fourth consecutive win following triumphs in China, Japan and Miami. During the Saturday sprint race, tensions rose when Antonelli accused Russell of pushing him off the track at Turn One. Team principal Toto Wolff intervened on the radio, directing the drivers to discuss the matter privately after the session. Race engineer Peter Bonnington urged Antonelli to refocus on the race ahead.
