Mexico City's Public Security Secretariat (SSC) arrested Angélica Adriana, alias ‘La Guasona’, 28, flagged as a priority target for allegedly operating within a Unión Tepito faction led by Irving Jonathan H., alias ‘El Irving’. Her role involves collecting cash from drug sales in Buenavista neighborhood, Cuauhtémoc borough. In an operation on Saturno Street, officers saw ‘La Guasona’ exchanging bags with a man and conducted a preventive search, seizing 1,000 doses resembling cocaine, 132 wraps possibly containing crystal, two gram scales, seven bags appearing to be marijuana, a short firearm, two useful cartridges, and three cell phones. Rommel C., alias ‘Rommi’, 45, brother-in-law of Roberto M., known as ‘El Betito’ and in charge of supplying drugs to retailers in Cuauhtémoc, was also detained. Both were read their rights and turned over to the Public Prosecutor's Office. Follow-up probes led to raids on two properties on Sol Street in Guerrero neighborhood and Guerrero Street in Buenavista, arresting Laura G. and Víctor Hugo O., alleged ‘La Guasona’ collaborators storing weapons and drugs for distribution.
