Lil Wayne missed his scheduled concert in Bangor, Maine, on Tuesday and later apologized to fans via Instagram.
The rapper failed to appear at the Maine Savings Amphitheater after 2 Chainz finished his opening set. Attendees waited until 11 p.m. before being told the show was over.
Wayne posted an apology the following day. He said the concert would be rescheduled for July 28 and asked fans to keep their tickets.
“I ain’t shit without you I can’t wait to come back and give you the show you deserve,” he wrote. Ticket holders will receive additional details by email.
One attendee, Rita Sack, said she drove more than six hours from Nova Scotia for the show. She noted that an on-site apology would have been appreciated.
