Luleå got revenge on Frölunda after the latter's 7-0 rout at home in Scandinavium. The Norrbotten team won the third quarterfinal match 2-1 after overtime in their home rink.
Mathias Bromé became the match-winner by scoring at 10:24 into the first overtime period. "Of course it's incredibly nice to find a way to win," Bromé told TV4 after the victory.
He described the goal as a fluke: "It (the puck) first hits the groin, then I get a good volley on it."
Luleå also won the first game in Gothenburg 3-2 after overtime, while Frölunda took the second game on Wednesday 7-0. The fourth match is on Sunday in Luleå.
The series is part of the SHL playoffs for the Swedish championship.
