Disney's Star Wars spinoff The Mandalorian and Grogu debuted at the top of the global box office with $163 million over the Memorial Day weekend. The film earned $100 million domestically over the four-day holiday frame and $63 million from international markets.
The Jon Favreau-directed movie stars Pedro Pascal as Din Djarin alongside Grogu. It marks the first Star Wars theatrical release in seven years since 2019's The Rise of Skywalker. The production carried a budget of roughly $165 million, lower than the $300 million cost of 2018's Solo: A Star Wars Story, which opened to $103 million domestically over the same holiday period and $153 million worldwide.
