Singer Mari Jasca releases the album “Disparada – Ao Vivo em Búzios” next Thursday. The record combines live recordings from her debut with new tracks featuring interpretations of Brazilian classics.
The album includes a blend of “Eu Apenas Queria Que Você Soubesse” by Gonzaguinha with “Flor de Ir Embora” by Fátima Guedes. Another track merges “Tanta Saudade” by Chico Buarque and Djavan with “Santa Morena” by Jacob do Bandolim.
Mari Jasca stated: “It is very special to bring these great names of Brazilian and Latin music, whom I admire very much, in an album that presents my first compositions, several of them born in Búzios, with a Latin accent and the smell of the sea”.
The launch tour is scheduled for October and November. The project features Luiz Otávio on keyboards and vocals, Maju Nunes and Lucas Videla on percussion, and Gabriel Quinto on strings and vocals. Creative direction is by Natasha Jascalevich, the artist’s sister.
