Military Production Ministry develops new AI modernisation strategy

Minister of State for Military Production Salah Gamblat said the ministry is developing a new strategy to modernise its companies with a focus on digital transformation and artificial intelligence.

Gamblat made the remarks during a meeting with a delegation from Intel to discuss opportunities for cooperation in digital transformation, industrial software, artificial intelligence and advanced manufacturing technologies.

The strategy will be implemented through stronger cooperation with leading international technology companies in line with directives from President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi to localise advanced technologies and deepen local manufacturing.

The two sides explored areas including embedded AI applications, data centre technologies, Edge AI solutions and networking. They agreed to continue coordination through technical meetings to develop a roadmap for a long-term strategic partnership.
