Chinese model Ming Xi married entrepreneur Mario Ho on June 1 at the Mont Saint-Michel abbey in Normandy, France. The event marked the first wedding held inside the historic abbey.
The couple met in Shanghai in 2017 during a family celebration and became engaged in 2019. Ming Xi described the proposal as a surprise event that transformed a family mall into a Super Mario-themed setting. Planning for the wedding took a full year and required special approvals from Mont Saint-Michel staff and the Centre des Monuments Nationaux. The bride wore a custom Dior Haute Couture gown featuring an open back and floral details inspired by ceramic works, paired with a 52-carat Graff diamond necklace. After the ceremony, guests attended a cocktail reception in the abbey cloister before moving to Deauville for dinner. Ming Xi changed into a vintage 1989 Chanel pearl dress for the meal and later wore a Givenchy design by Sarah Burton. Their children served as flower kids during the vows. The couple has been together for nine years.
