Natsume has revealed the next installment in the Harvest Moon series, titled Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea. The game will launch on multiple platforms including Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5, though no specific release date has been set. Players will explore a mist-covered land with new challenges like wild animals and expanded romance options.
Natsume, the publisher behind the long-running Harvest Moon franchise, has unveiled details about its upcoming title, Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea. The announcement highlights a story set in the land of Teradea, where a mist from the Forest of Echoes envelops the area around Bloomfield Village. In this environment, wild wolves emerge at night, accompanied by rumors of a large guardian wolf. Players, alongside their best friend, embark on a mission to tame these wolves, leading to a broader adventure.
The game introduces several new features to the series. Exploration mechanics have been enhanced, allowing characters to climb ladders and vines. An animal companion system adds depth to gameplay, while remote islands offer opportunities for treasure hunting. The untamed wilderness poses risks, as encounters with wild tigers and wolves can result in losing items if they catch the player. Additionally, helping villagers earns a resource called Happilia. Romance options expand with ten new love interests, consisting of five bachelors and five bachelorettes.
Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea is planned for release on Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Steam. Natsume president Hiro Maekawa expressed enthusiasm in a press release: "We are excited to show off more of the new features of Harvest Moon: Echoes of Teradea over the coming months." He also mentioned upcoming reveals about mysterious Guardian Spirits, new gameplay mechanics, and special pre-order bonuses and editions for fans and newcomers alike.
Screenshots of the game have been shared, providing early glimpses into its world. Further details are expected in the months ahead.
