Netflix has announced that season 3 of Tyler Perry's Beauty in Black will premiere on August 27. The drama returns after an earlier cancellation was reversed with an order for a fourth season.
Season 3 was originally planned as the final installment before Netflix canceled the series in December. The streamer later reversed course earlier this month and renewed the show for season 4.
In the new season, Kimmie secures a place at the Bellarie family table. A deadly feud then forces her into an alliance with Mallory amid blackmail, revenge and buried secrets that threaten the family's empire.
Tyler Perry created the series and serves as writer, director and executive producer. It first premiered in October 2024 and stars Taylor Polidore Williams as Kimmie and Crystle Stewart as Mallory. Season 2 concluded in March.
Perry said the Bellarie family's story continues. "There was so much more I wanted to explore and I'm grateful I get to keep telling this story," he stated.
