As spring approaches, Jenny Robinson Clark releases her debut children's book 'Are You Here?', which gently addresses grief and the signs of loved ones' presence after death. Inspired by the author's personal loss, the book encourages families to notice subtle reminders of connection. It publishes on March 17 and will be available on major platforms.
Jenny Robinson Clark's 'Are You Here?' marks her entry into children's literature with a story that blends heartfelt narrative and whimsical illustrations by Elisabetta Fantone Cohen. Published by Landon Hail Press, the book releases on March 17 and can be purchased through Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Bookshop.org, and Books-A-Million.
The book's origins trace back to a personal tragedy: during her second pregnancy, Clark's mother passed away, leaving her to explain death and ongoing connection to her young children. Attending a retreat led by Dr. Joe Dispenza to connect with her mother, Clark returned home and soon received what she believed was a message from her mom. This inspired words that she shared with her husband, musician Travis Clark of We The Kings, who composed a song titled 'Are You Here?'.
"Early one morning, at a moment when my heart was open and I felt deeply connected, I received what I believe was a message from my mom, a message that changed everything," Clark said. "She reminded me that she was still with me, all around me, showing up in unexpected and beautiful ways like rainbows, ladybugs, and dragonflies."
The book features hidden ladybugs on every page and interactive illustrations to engage readers in spotting signs of love. It has received praise from experts, including New York Times bestselling author Laura Lynne Jackson: "In 'Are You Here?', Jenny Robinson Clark reassures us – young and old – that those we love who have crossed are always with us. Equally beautiful in its writing as well as its art work, it will leave you feeling less alone, full of hope, and lovingly watched over."
Parenting coach Albiona Rakipi added: "'Are You Here?'… is a tender, beautifully written book that gently opens the door to conversations about grief and loss. Through a child’s curiosity and wonder, it invites young readers to look for the quiet signs that love continues even when someone we love is no longer physically here."
Clark, a former dancer and actor from California, now lives in Nashville, Tennessee, with Travis and their four children. A launch event is scheduled for March 17 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in Orlando, Florida, featuring Clark's appearance and a live performance by Travis. The free event requires RSVP for details.
Samantha Joy, editor-in-chief of Landon Hail Press, stated: "'Are You Here?' is a children’s book about grief that touches hearts of any age. Robinson Clark delivers a powerful reminder that even when we cannot feel our loved one’s physical presence, they are always there to guide us if we are willing to listen."
Clark appeared with the book at Together at Peace’s Sparkle of Hope Luncheon on September 28, 2025.
