A new sports bar and restaurant specializing in Indian and Nepali dishes is set to open in downtown Trenton, Ohio. The venue, taking over a former fast-food location, aims to blend South Asian flavors with a casual bar atmosphere. Owner Rohit Chhetri expects to launch operations within a month.
Downtown Trenton's W State Street is seeing continued development with the arrival of Trenton Sports Bar & Restaurant at 4 E State Street. This spot previously housed Hook’s Fish and Chicken and is now undergoing construction to transform into a casual establishment focused on South Asian cuisine.
Owner Rohit Chhetri shared that the team hopes to open in about a month from early March 2026. The menu will feature traditional items like biryani, curries, tandoori dishes, and momos, drawing on the owners' experience with Indian and Nepali recipes. A recent social media post from the owners describes the concept as “Where bold Indian & Nepali flavors meet the ultimate sports bar vibes.”
The restaurant will sit next to Dragon China at the corner of W State and N Miami streets, with Martin’s Donuts across the way and nearby bars including Hotspot and Our House Saloon. Trenton lies about 45 minutes north of Cincinnati and 90 minutes southwest of Columbus.
Planned hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, except closed on Tuesdays. Updates on the menu and opening can be found on Instagram at @trentonindianrestaurant or the venue's website.
