The National Hockey League has adjusted start times for several games later in the 2025-26 season. Changes include an earlier start for Toronto Maple Leafs at Carolina Hurricanes on December 4 and a later start for Detroit Red Wings at Columbus Blue Jackets on the same date. Additional adjustments affect a Flyers-Red Wings matchup in April.

The NHL made announcements regarding schedule adjustments on October 27, 2025, affecting start times for five games. For the Carolina Hurricanes, Game #431 on Thursday, December 4, features the Toronto Maple Leafs visiting Lenovo Center in Raleigh, N.C. Originally set for 7:30 p.m. ET, the game now begins at 7 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on FDSNSO in the U.S. and TSN4 in Canada.

In a separate change detailed by the Detroit Red Wings, Game #432 on the same December 4 pits the Red Wings against the Columbus Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, OH. This matchup shifts from an original 7 p.m. ET start to 7:30 p.m. ET, available on ESPN+ and Hulu.

Further adjustments include Game #1250 on Thursday, April 9, where the Philadelphia Flyers visit the Red Wings at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, MI. The game moves from 6:30 p.m. ET to 7 p.m. ET, airing on NBCSP and FDSNDET. These changes aim to optimize broadcast schedules and fan access, though specific reasons were not detailed in the announcements.
