Nike has announced the release of its final sneaker collaboration with Stranger Things, featuring a Vecna-inspired design on the Air Foamposite One. The sneakers will be available for purchase online starting Friday at $250 for adult sizes. This tribute comes after the Netflix series concluded, marking the end of such partnerships.
Netflix's Stranger Things series has ended, but Nike is keeping its legacy alive with one last sneaker drop. Earlier this month, following the series finale, Nike unveiled a special Vecna-themed colorway of the Air Foamposite One. This collaboration builds on a November release by Nike and Converse, which included footwear and apparel inspired by the final season's characters.
The sneakers are set to launch at 10:00 a.m. EST on Friday, February 27, via the Nike SNKRS app and Foot Locker website. Priced at $250, they will be offered only in adult sizes, disappointing younger fans. Given the popularity of previous Stranger Things Nike releases, these are expected to sell out quickly. Those who miss the initial drop can turn to resale platforms like StockX and GOAT.
The design draws directly from the show's Upside Down elements. The upper features a gradient fading from black to bright crimson, accented by lightning bolt graphics. Off-noir vines, reminiscent of Vecna's throne, wrap around the shoe and glow in the dark. Cracked synthetic leather and distressed laces add a vintage look, while Penny Hardaway's "1 Cent" logo appears upside down on the heels. The Nike Air Foamposite One, iconic from Hardaway's 1990s NBA era, is not technically part of his signature line but remains closely associated with it.
Packaging enhances the collectible appeal: a pre-aged shoe box with Stranger Things branding. Buyers also receive a pin set referencing the Hellfire Club, WSQK radio station, Bradley's Big Buy, and a rubber chicken—iconic nods to the series. As the final Stranger Things-inspired sneaker, it serves as a must-have memento for fans.
