Nike has released official images of the Sprint Sister in Ridgerock colorway, reviving its 1979 women’s track shoe with modern updates. The sneaker features a low-profile silhouette, dual laces, and an earthy palette.
The Nike Sprint Sister “Ridgerock” (SKU: IR5693-256) draws from the Swoosh’s 1979 women’s classic track shoe, presenting a low-profile silhouette with a graceful appeal. It uses minimalist canvas and suede construction, dressed mainly in earthy “Ridgerock” tones. A “Sail” white Swoosh appears across the quarters, featuring perforated ditsy patterns and motifs for texture. The design includes a wrap-around rubber outsole in matching Ridgerock, extending over the heel and toe for durability and style. A key update is the double-lacing system, with two different colored shoelaces from a palette of “Ocean Cube,” “Dark Cinder,” “Sail,” and “Soft Pink,” allowing customization. This balances the sneaker’s 1970s track heritage with contemporary fashion. The colorway is Ridgerock/Ocean Cube-Dark Cinder-Sail, with an MSRP of $110 USD and a planned release in Summer 2026.
