Planning for the 2027 ski world championships in Falun continues with the opening set for Stora torget on February 24.
The ski world championships in Falun open on February 24, 2027. Unlike in 2015, the ceremony and all medal presentations will take place at Stora torget in central Falun.
A new family area will be built at the athletics arena on Lugnet. The area will be open every competition day and will include Bubo-land.
Wednesday February 24 will feature a Kidsday and Friday February 26 will feature a Youth festival. Sara Tigerström Monfelt, vice CEO and operations chief, confirmed the plans.
