One day after his dismissal from RB Leipzig, Ole Werner publicly thanked his former players. The 38-year-old praised the team's professionalism and passion.
Werner wrote on LinkedIn that he had enjoyed every moment with the team. He looked back positively on a year in which he fulfilled the task of returning the club to European competition and strengthening the hierarchy in the dressing room.
Sporting director Marcel Schäfer thanked Werner for the collaboration. According to media reports, Martin Demichelis is set to become his successor.
Werner described the separation as a new chance for everyone involved and encouraged the players to view changes as an opportunity for growth.
